Welcome to our village website.  Although it is hosted by Stagsden Parish Council it contains sections managed by other organisations within the village.  Stagsden is a warm and friendly village with lots of community activities.  We hope you find what you are looking for.

Stagsden is a small village west of Bedford on the way to Milton Keynes.  It is long and thin and straddles a low ridge between two small streams that drain to the Bedfordshire Ouse at nearby Bromham. We have a 13th century church, a recently modernised Royal George pub, a beautifully restored village hall, a very productive allotments site and community orchard and a number of farms (one with a thriving farm shop). Numerous small businesses trade out of Stagsden many from converted farm buildings.

In 2000, Stagsden acquired two new additions to village life. A Millennium bench was put in place at the corner of Bedford Road and Spring Lane, and Bedfordshire Golf Club opened its newly built course and clubhouse on the hillside south of the village.

Stagsden Parish Council meet bi-monthly on the third Monday of the month at 7.30pm in the Village Hall.  Members of the public are welcome to attend meetings and are able to speak in the first 15 minutes of the meeting. Agendas are posted on noticeboards and on this website at least 3 days prior to meetings. Minutes can be viewed under 'our files' on this website.
